Become a Red Cross Volunteer

Step 1: Download and fill out our volunteer application.  
Once you have completed the form, you can do one of the following:   

Fax to 850-423-1246
Mail to 4100 S. Ferdon Blvd, Suite A-1, Crestview, FL 32536 (all applications from all counties), or
Email: TomlinD@usa.redcross.org

 
Step 2: Complete a Background Check

Our background checks include a national criminal database search, sexual predator search,

social security verification and a motor vehicle check (for those who may drive a Red Cross vehicle).  

Individuals who do not pass the background check will be notified directly by  MyBackCheck.Com  

within 14 days with instructions on how to correct any errors or appeal the results of the background check.  

Everyone will be required to provide the following:

1) Full name and address
2) E-mail address and Telephone number
3) Social security number or other government ID
4) Drivers license number (if you have one)    

Once you have gathered the required information, begin the background check at MyBackgroundCheck.com

by clicking on “Become a Volunteer” and follow the directions.

When asked for your unit of affiliation – American Red Cross of Northwest Florida - 10240.  

Step 3: Great!  Now you're done.  We will contact you about getting started as a volunteer.
