WHAT DOES YOUR AMERICAN RED CROSS NEED?

 

Greetings all,

I know it has been too long since I sent everyone an e-mail. It seems like the days are not long enough. I want to

share some great news. We have started moving into our building in Pensacola. If you have not heard, our

downtown Pensacola building is at 222 N. Baylen Street. As always I want to thank all of our volunteers for what

you do every day. On the Pensacola side it has been really hard for volunteers because we have not had a place

for you to work and train. We have that now.  I want to let everyone know, that we realize that we cannot shut

down our office in Crestview. We plan to provide training and service delivery from both locations.

We are moving most of our back office functions to Pensacola.

 

We need a lot of help to make our operation work in Pensacola. We hope to have volunteers answer the phones

for reception from 730 am to 4 pm, so we need 6 or 8 part time volunteers for that. The reception position would

be directing our clients to who they need to talk to. We also need help in admin for scheduling health and safety

classes and to help our office manager process bills, mail, and deposits. We need 3 to 4 part time volunteers for

that. We also need help in Fund raising, if you do not feel comfortable asking people for money? That is ok, we

need help telling our story, calling to thank donors, maintain our donor data base, and sending thank you letters.

We need 3 to 4 part time volunteers for that.

 

As I said we have started moving in, but we have a long way to go. We really need help to finish getting moved in

and setup. If you can spare an hour please come by, even if you cannot help right now, please stop by and see

Your Red Cross Office. We are planning a grand opening and ribbon cutting combined with a Volunteer

Appreciation event sometime in July, but first we have to get the place ready.
