American Red Cross
Northwest Florida Chapter Savannah Liddon has a job walking dogs for six dollars a week. She saved her money for two weeks and bought ingredients to bake cookies. After baking chocolate chip and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, Savannah set out to sell the cookies and give the proceeds to the American Red Cross for its humanitarian aid to Haiti.
After going door to door in their neighborhood to sell the cookies, Savannah’s mother, Cheryl, contacted their church’s pastor, Charles Braniff at Calvary United Church. She asked if Savannah could also sell the cookies after services last Sunday. Savannah sold all her cookies and took her cash to the Red Cross office in Crestview. There, she presented $51.00 to Jerry Kindle, CEO of the Northwest Florida Red Cross. |
